After you have imported subscriptions and authorized users from the Microsoft Office 365 portal, you can manage them in the License Inventory.
To see the imported data:
- Open the Licenses application and go to the License Inventory navigation item.
- You can find all subscriptions under the Office 365 item and all authorized users accessing the solution under the Subscribers item.
Validating imported Subscription licenses
Office 365 subscriptions are imported as licenses. Such licenses can be edited via the dialog and by using actions available for standard license objects.
Initially, these licenses are invalid. In order to make them valid, you have to:
- Assign the relevant software product
- Set the License Pool according to your requirements
- Provide information for the purchase evidence
Assignment of imported Subscribers
Subscribers imported from Microsoft Office 365 portal are matched with users by their e-mail address. If the system cannot find a Person with same e-mail address, the Subscriber will be displayed under the Clearing Required navigation item.
For clearing, create a record for the user with the same e-mail address. The system will automatically re-match them during the Engine Activation "License Management - Data Batch Processing". Make sure that the status of this person is "Active", otherwise no License Requirement will be created.
Managing Office 365 without Data Provider
The extensions of the Office 365 license object require the Data Provider. These licenses are only created from the Data Provider and cannot be created manually.
If you want to manage your Office 365 subscriptions without Data Provider, create a license of type "Subscription" and assign an AD Group with authorized users to the corresponding Software Product. The system will them maintain License Requirements automatically after every AD import.
