Standard Roles and Permissions

Predefined roles for the Service Catalog.

Matrix42 Service and Software Asset Management includes predefined roles for the Service Catalog. Each role has specific rights that define in detail what a user is allowed to do. Each user of Matrix42 Service Catalog is assigned one or more of these roles. The roles can be accumulated. In this way, you can make sure that each user can only change or see the data in their own area of responsibility.

The Following roles are supplied:

  1. Service Delivery Management: Role for managing the entire Matrix42 Service Catalog.
  2. Service Catalog Management: Role for managing individual services.
  3. Field Service: Role for managing non-automated ordering of services.
  4. AD Administration: Role for managing Active Directory.
  5. AD Connector: Standard role for automatic task processing by using the AD Data Provider.
  6. Empirum Administration: Role for managing Empirum.
  7. Empirum Connector: Default role for automatic task processing by using Empirum.
  8. MDM Administration: Default role to administer MDM.
  9. MDM Connector: Default role for automatic task processing by using the MDM Connector or MDM AirWatch/Silverback Data Provider.
  10. SCCM Administration: Role for managing SCCM.
  11. SCCM Connector: Default role for automatic task processing by using the SCCM Connector.

The roles define access permissions to the following areas:

  • Search pages
  • Data (configuration items)
  • Actions
