Report - Software Compliance
Overview
The Software Compliance report displays your license positions regarding missing and unused licenses for software products that are included to reporting.
To display the report values a reporting date must be selected. This date corresponds with the data points stored in the data warehouse filled with compliance information. Also, it is required to select the currency that should be used to display all values.
If you have data stored in different currencies, make sure to provide exchange rates to convert in your desired reporting currency.
The report is available to display information by following dimensions:
- Organizational Unit
- Cost Center
- Location
It can be filtered by:
- Company Code
- Organizational Unit / Cost Center / Location (depending the report you choose)
- Publisher
- Software
- License Model
- Date
Top 10 Software Products with Failed Compliance
In the header area, a table with bar-chart graphic highlights the top ten software products based on missing usage rights.

| Required | Sum of usage rights required from effective license requirements |
| Missing | Sum of usage rights required from effective license requirements that are not entitled by available licenses |
Compliance per Publisher / Software Product
In the detail area, a table displays compliance per software product and license model grouped by publisher.

| Software Product | Publisher, name and version of the software product |
| License Model | Name of the license model to which the numbers refer |
| Shared | Number of required usage rights either entitled with licenses owned by parental or sibling organizational units, cost centers or locations or (if value is negative) used for entitlements for parental or sibling organizational units, cost centers or locations with own licenses |
| Local | Number of usage rights owned by the reported organizational unit, cost center or location (depending the report you choose) |
| Custodian | Number of usage rights used for entitlement of license requirements from the license custodian of the software product |
| Downgrades |
Number of usage rights used for entitlement at/from other software products according to downgrade rights. Negative numbers: in total, usage rights have been provided to other software products for entitlement of license requirements |

| Required | Sum of usage rights required from effective license requirements |
| Missing | Sum of usage rights required from effective license requirements that are not entitled by available licenses |
| Unused | Sum of usage rights available from licenses that have not been used for entitlement of license requirements |
| Balance | Difference between <available> and <required>, disregarding possible limitation of license pools |
| Compliance | Percentage of required usage rights that are effectively entitled by available licenses, i.e. regarding license pools |
| Trend | Change of compliance during last 60 days. |
You can drill-down into details by clicking on displayed numbers if they are greater than zero (except for columns "Balance" and "Trend").
