BPMN Workflow Integration UUX

With the BPMN Workflow Integration Add-On for UUX you are able to register new workflows by importing BPMN (Business Process Model and Notation) files.

This Add-On is provided as package. Therefore it can be added as an extension via the web interface (Administration Extension → Installed Packages).

Included components:

  • Web service: BpmnWorkflowIntegrationService (Administration > Integration > Web services)
  • Wizard: Register BPMN Workflow Wizard (Administration > User Interface > Layouts > Wizards)
  • Action: Register BPMN Workflow (Administration > User Interface > Actions)

More about the installation of packages at Configuration Package Installation.

What are the benefits of this feature?

In addition to registration via XAML, new workflows can also be registered directly via BPMN. This makes you more flexible and saves time.

When to use this feature?

Use this feature for a better link between your data and your work processes. Especially if BPMN is already in use.

License Key (Certificate)

An activation key is required:

  • M42MPLRegisterBPMNWorkflow
  • M42MPLBpmnWorkflowIntegration

It's possible that this license is already installed. If not, copy the license file into the Certificates folder (.../Matrix42 Workplace Management/Certificates).

How to use?

After installation, a new action (Register BPMN Workflow) is available at the workflows dataset view. This opens the wizard for importing BPMN files. Select a file and complete the details. The file will be checked and you will be notified if it is corrupted. If your file is valid and all mandatory details are correct, the workflow can be registered.

The audience of the action is set to administrators by default. Other user groups or users must be added.

Wizard: Result View

A successful registration is completed with the result view.

Action: Register BPMN Workflow

At Administration > User Interface > Actions search for Register BPMN Workflow.
