Release Notes for Enterprise Service Management 12.1 Update 1 [Technical Release]

About this Release

If you are updating from a previous version, make sure to understand any important or breaking changes, database schema changes and known issues of this release.

Product maintenance for versions 11.0 and 12.0 is affected! Please carefully read information in chapter Product Maintenance.

Functional Changes

We're thrilled to introduce the latest updates to Matrix42 Enterprise Service Management, designed with your feedback at the core. Known Errors

Known issues in 12.1.1.4191 (Technical Release)

1. 488530 [GDIE]Import Definition fails to process float values correctly for Text and Excel data sources

2. 488474: Update of already installed extension may fail with exception

3. 488722: Error may occure during update, because of removed user who still have a shopping card. (Occurred while processing update script '02-121-0166_post_MigrateShoppingCartRecipientToMulti1)

 

Known issues in 12.1.1.4148:
  1. 479284 - Duplicate Statuses in Filters for Dashboards/Reports
    The Status Filter sometimes displays duplicate status entries, creating unnecessary clutter.
  2. 479087 - Unclear Widget Filter/Share Status
    Users cannot easily tell if a widget instance has been filtered or shared by someone else, leading to potential misunderstandings.
  3. 484917 - Incorrect Error Message When License Certificate is Missing
    When no license certificate is present, the displayed error message is misleading or incorrect, confusing users.
  4. 485009 - Corrupted Exports When Clicking Too Quickly
    If you click the "Export/Print/Send" button repeatedly before the report is fully loaded, the exported or sent file may be corrupted.
  5. 485281: Shopping cart wizard shows X button in the wrong position
    The X button in the shopping cart wizard appears misaligned, affecting the visual presentation and usability of the wizard.
  6. 485332: Widgets are cut when they do not fit on the page, instead of being moved, when Printing
    During printing, widgets are truncated instead of being repositioned, resulting in incomplete printed reports or dashboards.
  7. 485874: New Dashboards: Data List contains alignment issues from Mobile devices

    The "Critical Activities" widget fails to load and displays an error 500, preventing users from accessing critical activity information.
  9. 485198: Frontend Widgets cache does not work
    Widgets do not leverage caching effectively, leading to slower load times and unnecessary resource usage.
  10. 485278: Send Report by Email fails with exception in specific conditions
    Attempting to send reports by email in certain scenarios results in an exception, making email-based report sharing unreliable. This may happen in case of multiple File Storages in use
  11. 485279: It is not possible to change Data Label Format - changes are not applied for Pie/Donut
    Updates to data label formats for Pie and Donut charts are not saved, leaving users unable to customize the display as needed.
  12. 485280: Dashboard & Report Filters: Multi-object filters may show confusing results
    Multi-object filters on dashboards and reports occasionally generate inconsistent or unclear results, leading to user confusion.

  13. 485007 - Assignments Missing in Service Management Compliance Export
    The export function for Service Management Compliance reports does not include Assignments, potentially leaving critical data out of the report.
  14. 480694 - Dashboard Filters: Search by String and Number Type
    Dashboards currently lack the ability to search within filters by string or number values, limiting usability.
  15. 481378 - Widget Instance Placement on Export
    When exporting dashboards or reports, widget instances that don’t fit on the current page are not automatically moved to the next page.
  16. 484653 - Limited Configuration for Report Actions
    The "Open Report via Action" feature cannot be configured to open reports other than the Service Levels Compliance report.

  26. 482356 - Declined Services Not Visible to Second Decision Maker
    When a service is declined, the decision is not displayed for a second decision maker in the Self-Service Portal (SSP).
  27. 483684 - Broken Images in Demo Knowledge Base Articles
    Predefined demo Knowledge Base articles may show broken or "not found" images, reducing the quality of the demo experience.
  28. 484435 - No Preview Access for Service Tasks
    Users cannot preview tasks associated with services, bookings, or tickets in the Service Catalog.
  29. 484754 - Error Assigning Excluded Service Twice to One User
    An error occurs when attempting to assign an excluded service to the same user more than once.
  30. 485226 - Preselected Global search categories are not applied
    Users may notice that when they select  search without changing the search category in the Global Search, the system does search in all, instead of preseltected ones
