Adding Data about Employees and Assets

Overview

After importing data from Active Directory/LDAP, you should add further useful attributes to the employee and asset information, such as organizational ranking or telephone numbers, if they were not saved in Active Directory/LDAP and already imported.

You should also add the data to the mobile devices that you have imported from Matrix42 Mobile Device Management.

To Add Employee Data

  1. Start Matrix42 Workspace Management and click the Master Data workspace.
  2. In the navigation area, click Users Persons.
  3. If the required configuration item is not in the selection list, enter a search term under the search criteria and click Search.
  4. Click the respective dialog pages and enter the required data.
  5. Click Done to save and close.

To Add Asset Data

  1. Start Matrix42 Workspace Management and click the Master Data workspace.
  2. In the navigation area, click Assets > Computers.
  3. If the required configuration item is not in the selection list, enter a search term under the search criteria and click Search.
  4. Click the respective dialog pages and enter the required data.
  5. Click Done at the bottom to save and close.
