Adding data about employees and assets
Overview
After importing data from Active Directory/LDAP, you should add further useful attributes to the employee and asset information, such as organizational ranking or telephone numbers, if they were not saved in Active Directory/LDAP and already imported.
You should also add the data to the mobile devices that you have imported from Matrix42 Mobile Device Management.
To Add Employee Data
- Go to Matrix42 Software Asset and Service Management > Master Data application.
- In the navigation area, click Users > Persons.
- If the required configuration item is not in the selection list, enter a search term under the search criteria and click Search.
- Open the respective dialog and enter the required data.
- Click Done to save and close.
To Add Asset Data
- Go to Matrix42 Software Asset and Service Management > Assets application.
- In the navigation area, click Endpoint Devices > Devices per Type > Personal Computers.
- If the required configuration item is not in the selection list, enter a search term under the search criteria and click Search.
- Open the respective dialog and enter the required data.
- Click Done at the bottom to save and close.
