Port Configuration Enterprise Manager

Introduction

This document describes the ports used for Enterprise Manager for SCCM.

Abbreviations used within this document:

  • EM = Matrix42 Enterprise Manager for SCCM
  • EM-DP = EM Distribution Point

Port configuration

Within an EM infrastructure various services are available that must be responsive to be able to operate the system. To ensure this responsiveness, the ports for each component must be configured correctly. This applies for the local Windows firewall as well as the enterprise firewall.

The following table provides information on the port configuration.

Client to SCCM-DP Description Access to mass data/installation data

Client to EM Server Description The port where the EM server listens to client requests.
  Configuration Administration -> Other -> Server -> Agent port and 
when agent is installed via the "HTTP MSI parameter

WebAPI: 9010, HTTPS (v7.3): 9016

EMv6 (Not supported) Port WCF: 9001

 

Server/Client to EM-DP Description The port where the EM-DP listens to client requests.
  Configuration Administration -> SCCM -> Distribution Point -> Edit the respective DP
  Protocol TCP
EM Port WebAPI: 9011, HTTPS (v7.3): 9012
EMv6 (Not supported) Port WCF: 9003

 

Website Description The port where the web console is running
  Configuration Administration -> Other -> Servers -> Web Server
  Protocol HTTP
  Port 8098

 

EM-Server to Client Description The port where the EM Agent listens to push tasks and log file requests.
  Configuration Settings.xml in the „Settings“ sub directory of the EM Agent and
EM Agent profile settings
  Protocol TCP
EM Port WebAPI: 9010
EMv6 (Not supported) Port WCF: 9001
EM-DP to EM-Server Description Is used for access to log files.
  Configuration Administration -> Other -> Server -> Download Port
  Protocol TCP
EM Port WebAPI: 9010, HTTPS (v7.3): 9016
EMv6 (Not supported) Port WCF: 9002

 

Import service to EM Server Description Is used for access to log files.
  Configuration Administration -> Other -> Server -> Import Port
  Protocol TCP

  • Communications from EM-Server(v19): EM-Agent(v6.4.2 & v19), EM-DP(v6.4.2 & v19)
  • Communications from EM-DP(v19): EM-Agent(v6.4.2 & v19), EM-Server(v6.4.2 & v19)
  • Communications from EM-Agent(v19): EM-Server(v19), EM-DP(v19)
  • from v.19 EM-Server and EM-DP must have the same version!

 

  •  The local v19Agent communication between service and GUI runs over SignalR with port 4242 and 9013
