When using EgoSecure Agent version 10.1.x or higher in combination with Windows 10, build 1803, a blue screen may appear when starting Windows.
With the latest Windows Spring Creators/Red Stone 4 and other updates for Windows 10, the data processing of the Windows registry has been optimized. A fundamental technical change has been made in addressing processes, which can lead to incompatibility with existing applications. Thus, the client component - EgoSecure Agent - is affected by the system change, which results in a blue screen at system startup. The changes affect the functionality of EgoSecure Agents from version 10.1.
Currently, the 1803 update is only available to Windows Insider users. Due to an above-average number of bluescreens in the test phase, the deployment of Microsoft planned for April 10, 2018 was postponed to an unknown date. Please note, however, that updates for Windows 10 can also be played automatically, depending on the configuration.
Review how the Windows Update deployment is configured in your environment and temporarily disable updates.
