The installed EgoSecure version must be identical on all Servers used.
All the Servers must be in one network so that they can communicate with each other.
1. Installing another Server
- Install the same Server version as the already installed Server.
-
During installation, specify the same domain controller, SQL database and the database user as in the initial installation. For details about the Server installation, download the EgoSecure Installation Guide.
⇒ The new Server appears in Console under Administration » Servers » EgoSecure Servers.
2. Configuring Server priority
-
In the Console, under Administration » Servers » EgoSecure Servers define the following settings for the additional server:
-
Server selection method:By priority : load distribution by priority in the list or
Random selection : automatic load distribution -
Priority:Highlight the entry and click the Up / Down buttons to move the entries and change the priority.
-
Primary IP range (optional):Specify the range of client IP address, which can access the Server.
-
-
Save the settings.
-
If the Own directory mode is used on the first Server:In Console, under Administration » Synchronization » Directory service settings, enable the "Own Directory" mode support check box.
⇒ EgoSecure Server automatically synchronizes the settings used. The following settings are not synchronized:
- Administration » Administrator » Database maintenance and
- Administration » Synchronization » <All settings>
Are not synchronized to avoid access conflicts. The settings should also only be managed on one Server and not configured on the second Server. -
