Improvements

• Rowcount hashtag added at the end of the MD5 Checksum hashtag in the <<vCenter Server Name>>-HW-Inventory-Information.csv file.
• List of partitioning methods added for the Virtual Machine Type field in the Computer dialog.
• Additional columns were added to the VMware data files: VMCreateDate and VMPowerState were added in the HW file and in the VM file. 
• CPU query script was updated in the glas_cpuq.sh file.

Improvement

• Oracle 23ai Free Edition is now supported and corresponding license requirements require zero usage rights. The Oracle Database Free value was added for the edition type of Oracle database instances.

• The Use Employee Metric setting was introduced. It allows to configure licensing of Oracle Java according to the Universal Subscription terms.
• You can now configure a list of Oracle Java products that will be excluded from the automatic creation of license requirements as they are shipped with third party products.
• Calculation of Oracle Processor metric for Java products was adjusted to the same metric as Oracle Database products.

Oracle Compliance is now verified by Oracle for Databases, Options and Management Packs as well as for Java and Fusion Middleware!

  • Oracle GLAS Fusion Middleware export files are available. Data collection has been verified by Oracle.

• New certificates are being used ("M42 Oracle Compliance - Java Inventory" and "M42 Oracle Compliance - Database Products")
  Please assure, that the new certificates are already in place before updating to Version 4.0 - as the old certificate will not be recognized anymore starting with Version 4.0!

• Oracle Compliance extension was split into three extensions:

  • Version 4.0 - this is the main extension and a prerequisite for the other extensions which do contain the Data Collection scripts.

  • Oracle Compliance (Database Inventory Scripts)
    This extension contains the Data Collection Scripts for the Oracle Databases
    Prerequisite: Installed "Oracle Compliance" 4.0 extension

  • Oracle Compliance (Java Inventory Scripts)
    This extension contains the Data Collection Scripts for Java
    Prerequisite: Installed "Oracle Compliance" 4.0 extension
