Settings
Overview
Clicking on the Options icon opens the settings dropdown menu:

User Management
Used for managing users and groups, setting roles, permissions, and access levels.

Profile Management
Create and manage connection profiles that define session behavior for client devices.

Logging
View a detailed log of user activities, including logins, logouts, changes, and access events.

Account Settings
Update your personal account information such as password, email, or preferences.
- Full Name: Enter or update your display name. This is shown in user listings and activity logs.
- Username: Displays your registered email address or login name. This field is read-only and cannot be changed.
- Current Password: Enter your existing password to authorize changes, such as updating your password.
- New Password: Input your new password.
- Confirm Password: Re-enter the new password.
- Two Factor Authentication: Enable or disable two-factor authentication.
- If two-factor authentication is turned on for the first time, it starts the wizard for adding the authentication method.
- If two-factor authentication is turned on for the first time, it starts the wizard for adding the authentication method.
Click on Save to apply the changes after all required fields are completed correctly. Click Cancel to Close the settings window without saving any changes.
Adding Two Factor Authentication
Turn on the two factor authentication:
Step 1: Download and install an authenticator app to your mobile device. Currently Microsoft and Google Authenticators are supported.
Step 2: Open the authenticator app to scan the QR-code or add the code below manually.
Step 3: We recommend securely saving the code, in case you lose or run into issues with your mobile device.
Step 4: Fill out your password and the Two Factor Authentication code. Click Activate to finalize the process and activate Two Factor Authentication.
Entra ID Settings
Configure and integrate Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure AD) for authentication and SSO.
- Tenant ID: Enter your Microsoft Entra (Azure AD) Tenant ID. This uniquely identifies your organization's directory.
- Client ID: Provide the registered application’s Client ID from Microsoft Entra. This links the integration to your specific app.
- Client Secret: Input the application secret generated during app registration in Entra. It is used to authenticate the integration securely.
- Domain Name: Specify the domain associated with your Entra tenant (for example, yourcompany.com).
- Delete Settings: Removes any existing Entra ID configuration from the system.
- This action can disrupt Entra-based authentication until reconfigured.
Click on Save to apply the changes after all required fields are completed correctly. Click Cancel to Close the settings window without saving any changes.
Download Agent
Download the remote access agent to install on client machines for connection.
- Platform: Select the target operating system for the agent installation. Windows (Win) and Mac (MacOS) clients are currently supported.
- Stage: Choose the development stage of the build. Options include:
- Release: Stable, production-ready version.
- Beta and Alpha: Pre-release versions for testing.
- Version: Select the specific software version of the agent to download. Clicking the field will open a dropdown menu displaying all the available versions.
- Setup Type: Choose the installer format. Available formats are Exe and MSI for Windows, Zip for Mac.
Click Start Download to begin the download process for the selected platform and configuration. Click on Close to close the window without initiating a download.
License Information
View license details.
- License Number: Displays your unique license key.
- Max. Number of Connections: Indicates the maximum number of simultaneous remote connections allowed under the current license.
- Number of Users: Shows how many user accounts are currently created within the environment.
- Number of Groups: Indicates how many user groups exist in the system.
- Valid to: Shows the license expiration date. The infinity symbol (∞) means the license is perpetual.
- Number of Installed Agents: Displays the total number of remote agents installed versus the allowed limit. A progress bar visually represents usage.
- Contact Sales: Opens a page to contact the sales team.
Clicking on Close exits the License Information window.
Change Language
Switch the interface language.
Click on the flag to change the language:
Release Notes
See the latest release notes. This will redirect to an external platform where the release notes are hosted.
Help Center
Access user guides, FAQs, and support documentation on an external documentation platform.
Logout
Sign out of your current session and redirect back to the login screen.
Version Info
Displays the current version of the M42 FastViewer client you are using.
