Managing Connections
Overview
Each registered device offers a dropdown menu of actions for managing and interacting with that system remotely. These tools allow you to provide support, perform maintenance, or transfer files.
Always confirm the session you're targeting to avoid interfering with the wrong user!
Desktop (User Name)
Opens a remote desktop session to the selected user session ("User name").
Allows full control and screen sharing.
Cmd (User Name) / Cmd (Login)
Opens a remote Command Prompt session. The Command Prompt is not displayed to the user.
- User name: Interacts with the currently active user session.
- Login: Requires to input user credentials before connection. This makes it possible to use the Cmd with a different user account than who is currently logged in (for example, an admin account).
PowerShell (User Name) / PowerShell (Login)
Opens a PowerShell terminal for advanced system scripting.
- User name: PowerShell within the logged-in user’s session.
- Login: Requires to input user credentials before connection. This makes it possible to use the PowerShell with a different user account than who is currently logged in (for example, an admin account).
- Useful for setting up scripts or doing deeper admin tasks.
Filetransfer (User Name) / Filetransfer (Login)
Access the remote file system to upload, download, or manage files.
- The user session (user name).
- The login screen or system context (Login).
Reboot
Sends a remote reboot command to the client.
Use this after installations, updates, or troubleshooting.
Status Indicators
Green dot next to the client (TestPC1): Indicates the device is online and reachable.
Greyed-out icons or unavailable actions: This may indicate insufficient permissions, offline status, or unavailable session contexts.
Installing the Client Software
The end user must install the client software so their computer can be remotely managed. The appropriate version can be created in the “Settings - Download Agent”:
In the Download Agent page, choose the options for the installation file:
Click on “Start Download” to start downloading the file and run it on the target computer.
For Android and Apple, use the appropriate app stores to download the client software.
Connecting to a Client
There are four main ways to connect to a client:
- Desktop - Use the same desktop experience as the end user.
- Cmd - Use the command line from the client computer. Note that the end user won't see your actions.
- PowerShell - Use the PowerShell from the client computer. Note that the end user won't see your actions.
- Filetransfer - Transfer files to the client computer.
The click on the connect/disconnect icon on the sidebar (the icon will change when the mouse hovers over):

Connect to Desktop
Once connected to the client, the client's desktop is shown:
On the top of there are quick actions:
- Toggle full screen.
- View mode.
- Resolution.
- Hide / Show Wallpaper.
- Clipboard enabled / disabled.
- Keyboard commands.
- Performance monitor.
Toggle Full Screen
To enter full-screen mode, click on the icon:
Once in full-screen mode hovering over this icon brings the options to exit full screen (left) and to disconnect the session (right):
View Mode
The view mode offers options to view the desktop in different ways.
- Auto-Scroll: If the desktop doesn't fit into the browser window (the resolution is too high), the view will automatically scroll around the desktop.
- Manual Scroll: If the desktop doesn't fit into the browser window (the resolution is too high), the view can be scrolled around the desktop by using the scroll bars on the corners of the screen.
- Zoom to Fit: Automatically zoom the screen to fit it into the browser window.
Change Resolution
The resolution of the client desktop can be changed from this menu:
Hide / Show Wallpaper
Hide or show the wallpaper of the client's desktop.
Clipboard Enabled / Disabled
Enable or disable copying data to the clipboard on the client computer.
Keyboard Commands
Run keyboard commands on the client's computer.
Available commands are:
- Ctrl + Alt + Del - Show Security Screen.
- Windows + R - Run.
- Windows + E - Explorer.
- Shift + Ctrl + Esc - Taskmanager.
- Windows + D - Show/hide all windows.
- Ctrl+ Esc - Open or close the Start Menu.
- Alt + F4 - Close the active window.
- Alt + Tab - Switch window.
- Alt + Shift + Tab - Switch to the previous window.
- Alt + Space - Open Control Menu.
- Windows + Ctrl + O - Toggle on-screen keyboard.
Performance Monitor
Show the performance monitor for this session:
Connect to CMD
Starts a Command Line session on the client machine. Note that this is invisible to the user of the machine.
Connect to PowerShell
Starts a PowerShell session on the client machine. Note that this is invisible to the user of the machine.
Connect to File Transfer
Starts a file transfer session on the client machine. Note that this is invisible to the user of the machine.
Files can be uploaded to the machine by drag and drop or by using the Upload button when on an appropriate folder.
The following function buttons are available:
- Rename - Rename the selected file. Requires a file to be selected.
- Download - Download the selected file to your computer from the client computer. Requires a file to be selected.
- Delete - Delete the selected file. Requires a file to be selected.
- New Folder - Create a new folder. Requires that you are currently in an appropriate folder.
- Upload - Upload a file to the current folder.
- Sort by - Choose how the displayed files are sorted. Opens a dropdown menu for selection.
- Gird / List - Switch between Grid- and List-views.
