Application Guide Part IV: Add Windows 10/11 Application

Overview

Microsoft offers the distribution of enterprise applications in *.msi format via the MDM protocol. These applications can either be automatically distributed to devices or distributed to devices via the Install command in the Managed Application list in Silverback. Using this distribution option, you can easily deploy the Empirum Agent to your managed Windows 10 or Windows 11 devices and perform further software distribution via Empirum. The installation parameters allow you to specify specific configurations for the installation of your *.msi packages. Please refer to the Application Configuration Guide for additional information. Additionally, Microsoft offers the possibility to distribute applications for Windows 10 devices via the Microsoft Store as described in the Azure AD Integration V: Windows Store for Business Guide. These applications will be marked as business applications in Silverback, but as Microsoft is currently deprecating the Store for Business, we recommend that new customers no longer use this method.
