Important Information
MySQL database is no longer supported from EDP version 24.0 onwards.
Before updating, please review the Update Guide: Endpoint Data Protection.
Deprecations
Please find all Endpoint Data Protection related deprecations in version 24.0 below:
- SQL Server 2012 and Windows 2012 R2 are no longer supported since version 23.0 Update 2
- MySQL database is no longer supported since version 24.0.0
New Features and Improvements
Endpoint Data Protection
Please find all new Endpoint Data Protection related features and improvements in version 24.0.1 below:
- Increased character limit for database name in installer to match MS SQL Server limit.
- Improved memory management in EDP server.
- Fixed an issue with incorrect display name of devices in notification emails.
- Fixed an issue causing login issues in EDP Console if server log level was set to Disabled.
- Fixed an issue which was showing expired SSL certificates when they were never created.
EgoSecure Agent
Please find all new EgoSecure Agent related features and improvements in version 24.0.1 below:
- Added option to right click a connected device and generate an access request.
- Fixed a compatibility issue when using encryption and TortoiseSVN.
- Fixed an issue with the encryption certificate selection window.
Telemetry
In v23.0.3 release, we've implemented data telemetry to capture anonymous usage metrics of our software. This feature strictly collects non-personal data related to the usage and performance of the software, ensuring user privacy is fully respected. This will aid in enhancing future updates and overall user experience.
