Release Notes Endpoint Data Protection 24.0.0

About This Release

Endpoint Data Protection 24.0 provides new and improved features that have been implemented. During the development of this version, we have been focusing on valued feedback from our customers and partners to provide an ideal feature selection.

MySQL database is no longer supported from EDP version 24.0 onwards.

Deprecations

Please find all Endpoint Data Protection related deprecations in version 24.0 below:

  • SQL Server 2012 and Windows 2012 R2 are no longer supported since version 23.0 Update 2
  • MySQL database is no longer supported in version 24.0.0 

New Features and Improvements

Endpoint Data Protection

Please find all new Endpoint Data Protection related features and improvements in version 24.0 below:

  • Administrators can now review access requests from end users for individual connected devices, not just for device types.
  • Added option to control only listed folders for Network Share Encryption
  • Only the Supervisor account can access the File Formats dialog and Delete operations are no longer supported.
  • Fixed an issue present in v23.0.3 where you could not add more than one tenant to an Administrator.

EgoSecure Agent

Please find all new EgoSecure Agent related features and improvements in version 24.0 below:

  • End users can now submit access requests for individual connected devices in the same way as for device types, no longer having to rely on manual access codes.
  • We fixed an issue where EgoSecure Tray Icon was sometimes blocked and not visible.

Telemetry

In v23.0.3 release, we've implemented data telemetry to capture anonymous usage metrics of our software. This feature strictly collects non-personal data related to the usage and performance of the software, ensuring user privacy is fully respected. This will aid in enhancing future updates and overall user experience.  For additional information, please refer to Supplementary data protection information on the transmission of so-called telemetry data.
