Hardware Requirements
To use the EgoSecure products, your system must meet the following minimum hardware requirements:

Database
To use EgoSecure, an SQL database is required. The required hard disk space varies greatly depending on the product usage. We recommend to not change the default auto growth and maximum size parameters of the database. The Secure Audit module can generate large amounts of data, especially in combination with other modules.
Operating Systems and Database Servers
To use the EgoSecure products the system must meet the software requirements below. The EgoSecure Server can be installed only on 64-bit systems, but the EgoSecure Console is available both in 32- and 64-bit versions under Program Files/EgoSecure/EgoSecure Server. The following database servers and operating systems are supported:

Use Express versions of Microsoft SQL Server only for demonstration purposes and for very small organizations. This is because the size of the SQL Express server is limited to 10GB. This limit can be quickly reached, especially when using Secure Audit. In this case, errors will occur when running EgoSecure Data Protection. |

The Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable** (x86 and x64) is required on the EgoSecure server before installing or updating to version 24.0.2 or newer. EgoSecure Agent:

Additional Software
Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable
EgoSecure version 24.0.2 and newer now use the Microsoft OLE DB Driver, which is bundled in the EgoSecure installer. The installation of the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable is a prerequisite, and while the x64 installer for Microsoft OLE DB Driver installs both the 64-bit and 32-bit driver, the x64 installer for the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable doesn't install 32-bit binaries. You must install both the x86 and x64 versions of the C++ redistributable package (version 14.34 at minimum) to install EgoSecure versions with x64 OLE DB driver package.
