Silversync Guide VII: Access on Android
Overview
Since Android management has changed a lot in terms of enterprise functions and management has evolved from the classic old Android management to management via Android Enterprise and at the same time older and newer Android versions needs still to be supported, there are several ways in Silverback to guarantee users access to the mobile content. In addition, for certain Android versions and management types, mobile content management can be made available via two applications. The Matrix42 Mobile application provides integration for Silversync and access to the Enterprise Service Management with an additional configuration at the same time, while the Matrix42 Documents provides exclusively access to Mobile Content Management with encryption options offered by EgoSecure Data Protection. Please refer to the following overview to find your best approach:
For Android Enterprise devices:
- Android 9 and newer:
- Access to Silversync is supported with the Matrix42 Documents applications
