Silversync Update II: Standalone Uninstallation

Uninstall Software

This guide is designed for Silversync updates when Silversync runs on a dedicated standalone server

Stop Services

Press the Windows Server Icon
Enter Services
Press Enter and Open Services
Right-Click Matrix42 Universal Agent Framework
Press Stop
Right-Click Silversync Service
Press Stop

Open an administrative PowerShell and run stop-service silv*,mat*

Silversync Uninstallation

Open Control Panel
Open Programs and Features
Select Silversync
Click Uninstall
Confirm with Yes
Click OK at the Reboot prompt
Wait until the process is finished
Refresh your Programs and Features view
Silversync should now be disappeared

Universal Agent Framework Uninstallation

Locate Uninstall String in Registry

Press Windows + R on your Keyboard
Enter Regedit and press enter
Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall
Right Click in the left pane on Uninstall
Click Find
Search for Universal Agent Framework
Locate the UninstallString
Perform a double click on the Uninstall String and copy the Value Data to your Clipboard
Run Command Prompt as an Administrator
Paste your UninstallString as shown below and press enter:

MsiExec.exe /I{055D6A66-6106-475C-96A7-86EB180A7726}

Proceed with Universal Agent Framework Setup

Universal Agent Framework Setup

The Universal Agent Framework Setup should now appear
- Press Next
- Select Remove
- Click Remove
- Press Finish

Cleanup Files

Delete Silversync Files

Open Windows Explorer
Right click your Silversync Installation folder, e.g. C:\inetpub\Silversync
Click Delete
In case the access is forbidden, you have two options
- 1. Remove Glyphicons font from Control panel:
  - Open your Control Panel
  - Select Fonts
  - Right Click Glyphicons (Halflings Regular) Font
  - Click Remove
  - After a reboot of the Server all files can be removed.
- 2. Delete everything expect the font:
  - Right click all folders (except pfm) and press delete
  - Enable Do this for all current items
  - Click Continue
  - Navigate to pfm folder
  - Right click all folders (except fonts ) and press delete.

Delete Registry Entries

Press Windows + R on your Keyboard
Enter Regedit and press enter
Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Matrix42\
Right Click Silversync
Click Delete
Confirm with Yes
