Empirum Subdepot Webservice Configuration
Already with v21 Update 1 this package has been changed so that older agents are no longer supported under certain conditions. Please note the following notice.
Make sure no Advanced Agent or UEM Agent older than 2003.x which use the http/https protocol are used before updating the Empirum Subdepot Webservice Configuration 21.0 package on the depot servers.
UEM Depot Sync
The UEM Depot Sync has been greatly improved. Please use the current version of the UEM Agent of the type Standard Feature Release - SFR for short, to be able to use the improvements. In addition to the software packages, hashes are now also generated for all other mass data, which serve as the basis for an optimized transfer of the data.
Inventory recognizes the new operating systems Windows 11, as well as Windows Server 2022. In addition, with this version it is also possible to inventory the edition of Microsoft Power BI servers.
If you use only WinPE and no longer EPE to install your operating systems, you can delete all imported WADK and WAIK (Configuration > OS Installer > Import) permanently.
Old or unneeded PreOS packages should be deleted from the EMC and locally from the hard disk.
Please check here in the EMC in the tab Configuration - Software Management - Depot - Matrix42 PreOS Packages and delete all unneeded PreOS packages.
Locally you can delete the same PreOS packages from the hard disk in the directory "%EmpirumServer%\Configurator$\PackageStore\PreOSPackages".
The latest WinPE with all details and information about the new features can be found here: Matrix42 Marketplace
The WinPE Driver Assistant is located since Empirum Version 21.0 Update 1 as an additional option in the EMC. Under Configurations you can find the Driver Assistant . With version 21.0 Update 2 ONLY the Driver Assistant can be used in the EMC for managing Windows drivers. The old and known assistant under Empirum/AddOns/WinPEDriverAssistant is NOT supported anymore!
You can now use the following new functions:
- All information about the Windows drivers are in the database (tables "driver..." and "driverObject")
- The job and log informations can be found in the EMC "back-end task log"
- Import of Windows drivers via the Master and Depot Server
- Windows drivers can be imported in the familiar Empirum import/export format
You can find more detailed information in our Matrix42 Help Center
With Empirum Version 21.0 Update 2, the update of computer properties (MAC address and UUID) can be updated via EAI in connection with WinPE. The required "DeviceMapping.xml" will be updated.
Support of Windows 11 and Windows Server 2022
With Empirum Version 21.0 Update 2, we officially support the import and distribution of Windows 11 and Windows Server 2022. In addition to the operating system and the associated language packs, you can also import and manage corresponding drivers.
To install Windows 11 successfully, the computer must meet the following requirements:
