Agents

For the remote control of computers it is necessary to create a remote agent setup.
To define profiles, select in the app chooser "Administration" --> "Remote Assistance" --> "Agents".

Download Agent Setup

  1. Click on "Download Agent Setup".
  2. Under "Select version" use the dropdown to select the appropriate version.
  3. Click on "Download" to download the remote agent setup. The download will take a while.
    The file (Matrix42RemoteAssistanceAgentSetup.exe) will be saved locally in the default download folder of your browser.
  4. After a successful download, the Agent Setup can be installed on the respective Windows clients.
  5. You can choose to install Agent Setup manually or via a software distribution of your choice.

    For installation via Matrix42 Empirum, a corresponding package is available in the Matrix42 Package Cloud.

Update Agents

  1. Click on "Update Agents".
  2. Under "Select version" use the dropdown to select the appropriate version.
  3. Select the start time of the update process.
  4. Click on "Update Remote Assistance Agent" to start the update process für all clients with a lower installed version.
    The update process is executed in the background. It takes a while until the update is executed on all clients.
  5. Please check under "Administration" --> "Remote Assistance" --> "Agents" the pie chart "Agents by version".
