Reset Patch Management V3

Under certain circumstances, it may be necessary to completely reset the Patch Management V3.
goal
This article describe the way how Patch-Management V3 completely reset.
procedure
1. Step
Create a backup of the site database.
2. Step
Disable AutoApprove and AutoDownload respectively.
3. Step
Please document the patch group settings you have made and delete the existing patch groups in the Empirum Management Console (EMC).
4. Step
You should now empty the Patch Management V3 directories.(%EMPSERVER%\Empirum\Configurator\Packages\PatchManagement_v3\Patches)
5. Step
Run the patch management v3(ClearPM3Tables.sql) reset script via DBUtil on the site (%EMPSERVER%\Empirum\Empirum DBUtil\Scripts\SQLServer)
6. Step
Now delete the contents of the folder (%EMPSERVER%\Empirum\Configurator\Packages\PatchManagement_v3\Data).
7. Step
Perform a synchronization of the Patch Management V3 catalog via DBUtil (duration approx. 45 minutes)
8. Step
After that you can create the desired patch groups in the Empirum Management Console (EMC) and release the patches via the search dialog "ComputerPatchStatus=Missing".
This procedure will physically delete the already downloaded patches!
