Dashboard in Assets
This dashboard is relevant starting from Enterprise Service Management version 12.1.2.
Overview
The dashboard located in the Assets > Home navigation item provides insight into key asset management metrics. Cards and charts display the relevant analytics for assets.
Each card shows a number of identified records according to the set criteria. Click on a card to open the corresponding navigation item with filtered data. The trend of each card displays changes of this metric over the last week.
Charts group the assets by the specified attributes. Click on the relevant segment to view the filtered records.
Clients without Principal User
Number of client computers that have no principal user assigned or that have an assigned user in the Inactive status. The metric includes only client computers whose status is enabled for automatic principal user assignment.
You can review the list of asset statuses that are enabled for automatic principal user assignment in the Assets > Settings navigation item in the Automatic Assignment of Principal User section.
Even if the Enable automatic assignment of principal user setting is turned off, the card will display the number of relevant devices.
Client computers are the computer objects with the following SKU types: Tablet PC, Notebook, Tablet, Desktop, Developer PC, PDA and Mobile Phone.
Servers with Failed Scan
Number of servers and virtual machines in a status that is relevant for the end-of-life monitoring where the last scan was not successful.
You can review the list of asset statuses that are relevant for the end-of-life monitoring in the Assets > Settings navigation item in the End-of-life Monitoring section.
Server computers are the computer objects with the following SKU types: Server, Virtual Machine and Undefined.
Computers with Outdated Inventory
Number of computers in a status that is relevant for the end-of-life monitoring where last scan date is older than 30 days.
You can review the list of asset statuses that are relevant for the end-of-life monitoring in the Assets > Settings navigation item in the End-of-life Monitoring section.
Computers with Unknown Status
Number of computers that have the Unknown status.
Computers Close to Assumed End of Life
Number of computers in a status that is relevant for the end-of-life monitoring where the expected end-of-life date is within 90 days from today.
Computers per Operating System
The column chart shows the number of computers per operating system. Only computers with a status that is relevant for the end-of-life monitoring are taken into account.
Computers per Manufacturer
The column chart shows the number of computers per manufacturer. Only computers with a status that is relevant for the end-of-life monitoring are taken into account.
Computers per Relevant Status
The doughnut chart groups computers by their status. Only statuses that are relevant for the end-of-life monitoring are taken into account.

Computers per Type
The doughnut chart displays computers grouped by their SKU type. Only computers with a status that is relevant for the end-of-life monitoring are taken into account.
Computers per Organizational Ownership
The bar chart shows quantities of computers assigned to the Global organizational unit and all other organizational units that exist in the system.
Only computers with a status that is relevant for the end-of-life monitoring are taken into account.
Peripherals per Type
The column chart shows the number of peripheral devices grouped by their SKU type. Only peripherals with a status that is relevant for the end-of-life monitoring are taken into account.
