Overview

You can perform the following actions with this cloud user manager tool:

Create a new Empirum cloud user for your environment
Configure the role authorizations for existing Empirum users
Delete existing Empirum users

Starting the application

You can use the same login procedure as described here for the Empirum Management console login.
After login for Empirum user EmpCloudXXX-1 you can see and start the Matrix42 Cloud User Manager Tool.

Matrix42 Cloud User Manager

You can use this tool to manage Empirum cloud user accounts yourself.
You can use it to create new user accounts, configure database roles for existing user accounts and delete existing user accounts.

This application can only be started with the user EmpCloudXXX-1!
This user is grayed out under Existing user accounts , which means that you cannot make any changes to this user.

Create a new account

If you select this option, you can create a new Empirum user for your environment.
The naming schema is predefined. It is always the next free user (last digit of the login name).

Enter a First name of the user who will use this account.
Enter a Last name of the user who will use this account.
Assign a Password that meets the criteria below.
Confirm the password.
The specified criteria for the password must be met. The Create button is only enabled once all criteria have been met.
If all criteria are met, click on Create.
Depending on the load on the Internet connection and the system, this may take a while.
Confirm the message that the user has been successfully created.

The newly created Empirum user is now displayed under Existing user accounts. The login name for the next user that can be created is now displayed.

A successful login with the newly created user may take some time due to an internal synchronization process.

Edit database roles of an existing account

If you select this option, you can assign or remove role authorizations to a selected Empirum user. This only applies to users who are displayed to the right of Existing user accounts. Grayed out users (EmpCloudXXX-1 or deactivated users) cannot be edited.

Click on a user to the right of Existing user accounts.
Assign (checkmark set) or remove the desired role or roles.
Click on Apply.
Confirm the successful assignment of the database roles with OK.

Delete an existing account

If you select this option, you can select and delete an Empirum user. Grayed out users (EmpCloudXXX-1 or deactivated users) cannot be deleted.

The deletion of a user account is final and cannot be undone!

Select a user in the displayed list.
Click on the Delete button.
If you are sure that this database user should be permanently deleted, click Yes.
Confirm the successful deletion of the database user with OK.
