Enhanced UEM Patch & Vulnerabilities (Preview)

Patch Management information from Empirum is greatly enhanced and allows users to easily get the information the need based on the great data navigation and dashboard capabilities of the ESM platform. The preview needs to be enabled manually. Please refer to UEM Patch Insights Preview for more details and how to enable it.

This is a preview feature, allowing customers to get an early look and provide feedback. Not all planned features are implemented yet, and full functionality is not guaranteed. A reset of patch data may be required for the final release.

The Patch & Vulnerability dashboard now provides more information:

Updated Windows Autopilot Extension

The Windows Autopilot extension offers the option to connect to the Windows Autopilot Service (Intune) from Unified Endpoint Management with a Service Connection to sync, create, delete and edit Autopilot devices and profiles. For devices from the Autopilot device pool, computer objects are automatically created in Unified Endpoint Management and are thus also available as assets (Asset Management) in your company before they are connected to a system. The new version contains the following new features, enhancements, bug fixes and known issues:

New Features

  • Windows Autopilot can use new features of Generic Inventory Data Provider in Data Provider Edit > Settings.
    • Checker and filter for "Prevent device name from updating" is now available.
    • New list of "Matching Keys" in ascending order:
      • WindowsAutopilotComputerClassIntuneIntegration.DeviceId
      • SPSAssetClassBase.SerialNumber
      • SPSComputerClassIntuneIntegration.IntuneID
      • SPSComputerClassBase.Name , SPSComputerClassIntuneIntegration.TenantID
      • SPSComputerClassBase.Name

Enhancements

  • Requirement for for SUEM license removed (M42SecureUnifiedEndpointManagement) for package installation.
  • Layout security issues fixed. Usage of parametrized filters added in data sources.
  • Devices list, Name column refers to Computer Name.
  • Better optimization for getting number of Profiles and Devices on Autopilot landing page (dashboards).
  • UI enhancements for Profile View:
    • Label "Join to Azure AD as" -> "Join to Microsoft Entra ID as". Values:
      • Azure AD joined -> Microsoft Entra joined
      • Hybrid Azure AD joined -> Microsoft Entra hybrid joined
    • Label "Usage type" -> "Deployment mode". Values:
      • Shared -> Self-Deploying
      • Single user -> User-Driven
  • UI enhancements for Profile Create/Edit:
    • Same changes for labels and their values as in View.

Bug Fixes

  • Windows Autopilot provider fixed: importing and data collection workflows.
  • Fixed problem with newly created profile. Previously if sync is performed before new profile was synchronized, it would be deleted, because data from Intune overruled system collection of profiles.
  • UI enchantments for Profile Create/Edit:
    • Checkboxes under "Setup Wizard and Software Information" correctly show their state.
    • Values under "Deployment information" correctly reflects effective values and not default ones.

Known Issues

  • Synchronization of profiles in some situations still may delete profile in system, yet it will be successfully created in Intune, so will be imported in the next synchronization cycle.

Additional Notes

  • The usage of this version requires changes in relation of mapping SPSComputerType to WindowsAutopilotComputerClassIntuneIntegration. This means that for all devices previously imported from Intune, the datatable windowsautopilotcomputerclass will be flushed and re-synced.

Bug Fixes

  • PRB38814: UEM Console: Random status changes from devices with managed type "Mobile Device Management"
  • PRB38542: UEM Console Translation mistake for SyncJobs.
  • PRB38755: UUX API connection to Empirum - longer passwords are not accepted
  • PRB38874: UEM Assignments for OS Sources no longer working.
